Closing of the Call for Papes for vol. 24, N1, 2025
Next Call for Papers, for vol. 24 N°2, 2025, opens on February 15, 2025 and ends on March 15, 2025.
Revista de Comunicación is a semiannual academic publication. Publishes two issues per year in March and September
The usual deadline for receipt of originals:
The Editorial Board will carry out a first review of the articles received in order to assess compliance with minimum quality requirements and adjustment to the profile of the journal, within 30 days from the closing date of the call.
The second review of articles is carried out by external academic peers, experts in each subject, with the double-blind procedure - anonymity of authors and evaluators-.
The Revista de Comunicación only publishes unpublished works that have the favorable opinion of two reviewers external to the University of Piura. The authors guarantee the originality of their work and the absence of plagiarism, self-plagiarism or duplicate publication. The Editorial Board finally defines whether or not to publish the article, in accordance with the criteria of scientific publication.
In the event that the two reports received on an original are contradictory (Accepted-Not accepted), the Revista de Comunicación will turn to a third external reviewer.
Once the concepts from the external academic peers have been received: Accepted, Accepted with minor changes, Second evaluation, Not accepted, the corresponding communication is carried out.
The final decision of publication, acceptance or rejection, is made on the basis of the reviewers' reports, together with the following criteria:
a) Current, originality and novelty of the research.
b) Academic contribution to the scientific knowledge of communication.
c) Reliability and methodological relevance.
d) Relevant content for international researchers.
e) Scientific rigor of the written style.
The journal undertakes to communicate to the authors the positive or negative decision on the publication of their papers in the 12-th week after the closing date of each edition. The communication will be accompanied by the content of the anonymous reports of the external evaluators.
Authors whose articles have obtained a favorable opinion but with suggestions for corrections will send them again to the Revista de Comunicación, once the suggested improvements have been incorporated, within a maximum period of two weeks.
If the article requires a second revision, the author(s) have a period of two weeks to incorporate the changes. The editor, along with external reviewers, will then verify that these changes have been made. If so, the manuscript will be assessed as completed. Otherwise, you will be fired.
Accepting the articles and making the adjustments and the precisions to which they occur, these pass to orthographic correction, in which process the particular style of each author is respected. This correction is of form, never of content. The communication is direct with the authors, not to alter the original contents.
We recommend authors read the article by Professor Luís Codína "How to respond to the evaluation (peer review) of a scientific article" https://www.lluiscodina.com/evaluacion-articulo-cientifico/
