The remain of a genre: The journalistic chronicle




This article intends to establish a historical sequence of the Peruvian chronicle, genre that, according to data, doesn't only constitutes as a journalistic craft attending national occurrence as well as public opinion, but to a large extent a contribution to Peruvian national identity. The author starts off from the chronicle origins to present, in order to establish the causes why this genre is capable of being an influence on society, in this case one as manifold as Peruvian, needed of varied interpretations.
