Abstract

La propuesta de " Mapas abiertos" resulta en sí misma interesante. Como el nombre del libro lo indica, y el autor lo reafirma en la presentación, la publicación pretende ofrecer una visión amplia de la fotografía latinoamericana referida a la década pasada (1991­ 2002). Es decir brindar un panorama a partir del cual puedan contrastarse las visiones —generalmente estereotipadas­ que existen sobre la fotografía de la región, heredada de la imagen rural y tercermundista que aún subsiste sobre nosotros.
