Abstract

Approach the treatment by the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega of communication problems generated during the Spanish conquest of Peru. Among them it is remarkable the matter of the domain of Quechua language, in which Garcilaso adopts the ideas of Antonio de Nebrija on language as an instrument of unity and authority. The full command of the language and its nuances is presented as vital for the evangelization of the Indians, which reverts to a certain cultural syncretism. Finally, review the interpretation of the quipu, role and persistence present in the actual comments.

    Aborda el tratamiento por el inca Garcilaso de la Vega de los problemas de comunicación generados durante la conquista española del Perú. Entre ellos, tiene particular importancia cuanto se refiere al dominio de la lengua quechua, en los que Garcilaso adopta las ideas de Antonio de Nebrija sobre la lengua como instrumento de unidad y autoridad. El dominio completo de esta lengua y sus matices se presenta como vital para la evangelización de los indios, lo cual revierte en un cierto sincretismo cultural. Por último, reseña la interpretación de los quipus, su función y perduración presente en los Comentarios reales.
